"We Will Speak Up For Christians Wherever They Are In This World" - Nicki Minaj Says
American rapper, Nicki Minaj, has emphasized her insistence on speaking up for Christians who are facing persecution across several nations in the world.
Nicki Minaj, who has been consistently criticizing the ongoing insecurity targeted at Christians in Nigeria, made a surprise appearance at AmericaFest, revealing the reason behind her continued advocacy for Nigerian Christians.
She revealed that Nigeria is dear to her heart, adding that her pastor is a Nigerian, and she has a strong fanbase in Nigeria 'Nigerian Barbs.'
She stressed that the kidnappings and killings that are meted out to Nigerian Christians should immediately spark outrage anywhere.
Nicki Minaj further emphasized that they are not going to be silenced by the bullies, promising to keep speaking up for affected Christians.
She said:
"Nigeria is a place I’ve always loved. Someone very dear to me, my pastor, is Nigerian, and I have lots of Nigerian barbs.
“So hearing that people are being kidnapped while they’re in church, people are being killed, brutalised, all because of their religion that should spark outrage.”
“We’re not backing down anymore. We are not going to be silenced by the bullies anymore. We will speak up for Christians wherever they are in this world."
