Nollywood filmmaker, Stanley Ontop has been reportedly arrested by the Delta Police State Command, on the grounds of defamation.

According to reports making the rounds, the call for Stanley's arrest was made by a petition from actress, Queeneth Hilbeth.

Reacting to the arrest, Stanley's associate and activist, Mama Pee, via Instagram, called out the Delta Police command and actress Queeneth Hilbeth over the arrest of Stanley Ontop.

He stressed that the actress should have taken the case to court, rather than using the police force for intimidation. He also questioned the police force, emphasizing that both parties are public figures, and it should have been handled between them.

Mama Pee wrote:
“Stanley Ontop arrested and detained in SCID Asaba!

He said, “Free Stanley Ontop, @queenethhilbert you all should stop using police to harass people. Dear Queeneth Hilbeth, how about going to court instead of using police to intimidate? Whoever has a case should go to court or is defamation not for court again?

“Delta State Police why is Stanley in detention? These are two public figures!”
