"I Feel Comfortable And Welcomed" - Ayra Starr Speaks On Relocation To New York
Popular Nigerian singer, Oyinkonsola Aderigbigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has confirmed her relocation to New York.
The 'Sabi Girl' crooner, while speaking in a recent interview, explained that her decision to relocate was purely influenced by her drive to further put her music career on the global map.
She stated that New York is similar to Lagos, hence it feels like home. Ayra Starr added that the New York is filled with a lot of African diasporans, so it makes it easier for her to blend in.
She said:
"New York reminds me so much of Lagos, so it feels like home.
“There are a lot of Nigerians here. There’s a huge African diaspora here, so I feel comfortable and welcomed.”
