Controversial social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has tendered his unreserved apology to the general populace, following his in-flight ruckus with comedian, Mr Jollof.

The Nigerian Voice reported that activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly called Mr Jollof, were involved in a physical confrontation at an Asaba-Lagos flight, on Monday, November 17th.

VDM's action subjected him to heavy criticisms from the public, and some celebrities.

Reacting to the backlash on Tuesday, the activist, in a video message, via his Instagram page, formally apologized for the event that transpired on the United Nigerian Airlines, stressing that it was not supposed to happen, and he takes full responsibility for his actions.

"I would really like to apologise for what happened yesterday on the United Nigerian Airlines. What happened yesterday was not supposed to happen, and I will take full responsibility for it."

He further extended his apology to other passengers on the flight, who were in one way or the other affected by his actions, which delayed their flight.

“A lot of people on that flight had important things to do, but because of that little irresponsibility from my end, their flight was delayed. Some people might have had medical emergencies, and some had business contracts to sign. I don’t know what that little delay would have cost them, and I really want to apologise."

Blaming himself, he emphasized that while reflecting on the incident, he acknowledges that he acted irresponsibly.

“Looking back at what happened yesterday, I really didn’t like that part. Even though some people saw everything as a cruise on social media, I acted irresponsibly."
