"If You Keep Leaving Everything To God, People Will Keep Messing With You" - Stan Alieke Urges Public To Approach Court To Enforce Their Rights
Popular Nigerian lawyer, Stan Alieke, has advised the public on the importance of approaching the court in cases of injustice.
The Abuja-based lawyer, via his Instagram story, stated that they should stop leaving everything to God, but always approach the court whenever their right is being trampled upon.
According to him, religious leaders are well aware of the things to be left for God and the things to be handled by lawyers in court, stating that they don't hesitate to do the latter whenever they are aggrieved.
Enphasizing his stance, he stressed that if they keep leaving everything to God, people will keep messing with them, adding that there's a place for God and the lawyers.
He wrote:
"Stop leaving everything to God, always approach the court to enforce your rights whenever someone steps on your toes. Even our religious leaders understood that there are things to be left for God and there are things to be handled by lawyers in court & they don’t waste time approaching the court whenever they are aggrieved. Eg, Bishop Oyedepo recently took one of ex pastors to court to recover his church and didn’t leave it that for God. If you keep leaving it to God people will keep messing with you. There’s a place for God and there’s a place for lawyers; stop turning the other cheek and learn to strike back. Happy Sunday."
