"It's Time To Change That Mindset" - Terry G Urges Nigerians
Afrobeats singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has called on Nigerians to change their mindset.
Speaking about the effect of poor parental upbringing, he stressed that it has largely contributed to failure among many Nigerians.
He further explained that the negative comments made by Nigerian parents is now playing out in the lives of many youths today, adding that it's the reason many people are stuck in failure, adding that it is time to break free from that cycle.
He wrote on X:
"Our Nigerian parents really do many of us strong thing. The point I’m making is this :when you come under my post saying you’ll never make it that’s not really you speaking,it’s the voice of what you grew up hearing at home. When you say, ‘you can’t do this, you can’t do that,’ you’re only repeating what your father and mother told u growing up.
“Now you see you’ve carried that same energy into adulthood, and that’s why many are stuck in failure.
It’s time to break that cycle.
It’s time to change that mindset."
