Fathia Balogun Dedicates Award To Ex-Hubby
Despite the controversy that led to the collapse of her marriage several months ago, pretty Nollywood actress, Fathia Balogun, has dedicated the award she recently won to her estranged husband, Saheed Balogun.
Speaking after she won the Best Actress (Yoruba) award at the 13th annual Afro-Hollywood Awards held last Wednesday at The Indigo, 02 Arena, Greenwich, London, Fathia thrilled the audience when she announced that her award is dedicated to her former husband, Saheed, an equally talented actor.
According to Fathia, who was overjoyed on receiving the prestigious award, she dedicate it to the fair complexioned Saheed, because she would never have been this successful without the contribution of her former husband.
Though they are now separated, she noted that he gave her all the necessary assistance to attain stardom when the going was good.
“I am dedicating the award to him because he brought out the best in me. He is indeed, my mentor,” she told the crowd while beaming with smiles.
Apart from Saheed's contribution to her career, Fathia added that hard work and focus also contributed to her success in the make-believe industry. She added that her best is yet to come.
However, Saheed stunned the audience and betrayed their expectations when he was mentioned as winner of the Best Supporting Actor (Yoruba) award. He simply received the plaque and headed for his seat.
