"Stop Seeking Relevance In The Efforts Of Up-and-coming Artistes" - Brymo Knocks Burna Boy, Davido And Other A-list Artistes
Nigerian singer and songwriter, Olawale Ashimi, popularly known as Brymo, has slammed Burna Boy, Davido, and other A-list artistes to stop trying to seek relevance from the efforts of up-and-coming artistes.
The "Olanrewaju" crooner took to his Instagram story to bemoan how mainstream singers jump on every hit song in a remix, particularly songs of up-and-coming singers.
He urged mainstream artistes to let other artistes grow, instead of disguising to hop on their songs with the claim of helping them reach a wider audience.
He wrote:
"Dear Nigerian mainstream ‘A-listers,’ Burna [Boy], Davido and Co, stop jumping on every hit song in a remix, especially releases by newer acts.
“Let other artistes find their own way. The pretending to be helping them reach higher is a ridiculous watch. Stop seeking relevance in the efforts of ones who know little about the business. It’s vile!”
