"If You're Not Financially Stable, Don't Get Married" - Stan Alieke Tells Men
Popular Nigerian lawyer, Stan Alieke, has dropped an important advice for men. The Abuja-based lawyer who is renowned for dropping helpful legal advice on his Instagram page, stated that financial stability is a strong criteria for men to have before considering marriage.
He urged men to ignore societal pressure, and pursue financial stability before thinking of marriage.
Emphasizing his stance, he stressed that the leading cause of infidelity and divorce in marriages is mostly due to financial instability on the part of the man.
He added that being financially stable does not mean being buoyant, but having a solid source of income.
He wrote:
"This might sound insensitive but as a guy, if you are not financially stable don't think of getting married- don't let society pressure you into marriage, it's better to marry late than to marry as a struggling guy-you'll see shege. One of the leading causes of divorce after infidelity is that the guy is broke; in fact, ladies tolerate a cheating husband more than a broke man. Being financially stable doesn't mean you'll have all the money but at least have a solid source of income."
