Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has spoken about the impact of the death of late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

The "Feel" crooner, while speaking in a recent interview with ABC News’ Rocsi Diaz, stated that the death of his son changed him.

According to the award-winning singer, leaving his career for sometime following the death of his son, provided him with the idea on how to move forward.

"Stepping away after losing my son and being able to look back into my career, gave me a refocus of how I wanted to move going forward. It changed my life.

He further revealed that many people complimented him for the way he handled his loss, noting how many of them revealed that he was a source of inspiration to them during trying times.

“I know how many who randomly come to me at the airport to tell me how my strength has inspired them in hard times. I was telling my wife the other day that I’m proud of how we bounced back. Now, we got twins."

Praising himself and his wife, he noted that they now have twins, adding that the ability for them to bounce back from the loss of their son in a major way is huge.

"They are big and shouting everywhere. For us to be able to go through the loss of our son and be able to bounce back in a major way is huge."

Recall that Davido and his wife, Chioma, lost their three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, after he drowned in a pool at the singer’s residence in Banana Island, Lagos State, in October 2022.
