Buhari: 'His Death Is Not Any Type Of Justice For My Family' - Seun Kuti Reveals Regret About Late President's Death
Nigerian musician and activist, Seun Kuti, has reacted to the death of the immediate past President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.
The Nigerian Voice recalls that the death of ex-president, Mohammadu Buhari on Sunday, July 13, was met with immense criticism, and jibes from many Nigerians.
Reacting to Buhari's death in a viral Instagram video, Seun Kuti, who is the son of Afrobeats pioneer and renowned activist, Fela Kuti, revealed that the late President offended and damaged his family, noting that his death cannot be described as justice or victory for his family.
He added that his regret is that his dad, Fela, and his uncles, died before the late President, stating that they were all better men than the former President.
He however, noted that his solace from the past President's death is that his dad and uncles will gang up against him in the afterlife, if there's anything like that.
He said:
"There’s nobody Buhari has offended and damaged like my family. Buhari dealt with my family, but his death is not any type of justice or victory for my family.
“My only regret is that my dad Fela, and my uncles Koye and Beko died before him; all better men than him. The only solace I can take from his death is that the three of them will gang up against him in the afterlife if there’s such a thing.”
