‎Controversial Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu, has called on May Edochie, the estranged wife of his colleague, Yul Edochie, to show respect to her legally married husband.

‎The actor while addressing the insults and backlash directed at Yul, noted that the fans of May Edochie are still aware that May is still legally married to Yul, yet they come online to ridicule his name, and family name on social media.

‎He further emphasized that much of the blame cannot be put on May's fans alone , stressing that everyday, Yul is being insulted on social media by May fans, and yet, she has never addressed and called her fans to order.

‎Bemoaning further, Uche urged May to go ahead to remove the Edochie name from her name if she is unwilling to address her husband's critics, challenging her to prove to Nigerians that she is a Christian woman who respects her husband, while urging her to tell her fans to stop ridiculing Yul.

‎"The May nation knows that their Queen May is still legally married to Yul Edochie, yet they come online and ridicule him, insult him and say rubbish about his family name on social media, is that a respect to una Queen May? Make una fear God.

‎“And honestly I don’t blame those people for ridiculing Yul Edochie. I blame Queen May because you know that you are still legally married to this man, yet some people gathered together on social media to be insulting, ridiculing and talking bad about your husband and you have never for one day made a post and said please don’t insult him. He is still my husband we are not legally divorced.

‎“If you know you are not willing to tell all those your fans to stop insulting your husband, you have to remove that name because some people are saying it’s the Edochie name that is giving you favour and endorsement. Infact I challenge you Queen May prove to Nigerians that you’re a Christian woman and you respect your legally married husband, tell your fans to stop ridiculing him."
