Super actress and mother of two Foluke Daramola has notched the stake several steps higher by taking the premier of her highly anticipated movie, Wakati Eda to Sheraton, adding several pecks that other movie premiers in the industry lack.

For a start, most movies in Yoruba and even by extension the English genre of the movie industry are not premiered in such highbrow venues. Secondly, the guest list of such premiers doesn't look beyond the circle of Nollywood. And the build up to the premier are, most of the time, nothing to write home about.
We make bold to say, however that Foluke, who is doing her master's programme at the University of Lagos is setting a standard with this premiere.

The premiere, which will take place on August 16, would start with a red carpet by 2 p.m. while the premiere of the movie proper starts by 3.30 p.m.
In her desire to stand out, Foluke has secured the nod of wives of four governors to attend the highly anticipated premiere. They are: Yeye Olufunke Daniel of Ogun State, Mrs Toyin Saraki of Kwara State, Mrs Oni of Ekiti State and Mrs Mimiko of Ondo State.

The Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko is also expected at the event as the chief launcher.
Bonsue Fuji King, Adewale Ayuba will be on stage dishing out his brand of music and the S-360 All Stars from Stingomania will stage a public performance at the event for the first time.

To demonstrate that the event is not all about her, the graduate of International and Public Relations from the Obafemi Awolowo University will be dedicating time and gifts to the disabled. The Pain and Pleasure Band, a group of visually impaired but talented singers will also handle the microphone to entertain guests. Foluke already has four wheel chairs to be given out to four disabled. According to her, this is her own way of making some other people's dream come true. 'As you are aware, I will be speaking on Fulfilling Desire for 20 minutes. Fulfilling Desire is a pet project aimed at lending a helping hand to the less privileged. What I want to emphasis is that people should help other people in their own little ways'.

Saidi Balogun and Stella Damascus would co-host the event. That would be the first time the two would be paired together. Saidi Balogun who returned from South Africa recently told ShowbizNow that people would see another side of him on that day. 'I've been host of several events, but people will see a rebranded Saidi Balogun on that day'. The hosts and the ushers will all be dressed in African regalia to add a homemade touch to the event.

The premiere, which has set itself apart as the premiere of choice, surely promises to be a talk of the town for a long time. Foluke has promised to keep to time and do away with the African time syndrome, which characterises most events, which is strictly by invitation.
