By Oluwarantimi Oludase

‎Popular Nigerian singer, Simisola Kosoko, has urged the public to stop calling her daughter Adejare, 'Duduke.'

‎The wife of singer Adekunle Gold, released the hit song 'Duduke' in 2020, while anticipating the birth of her child.

‎Upon birthing her child, many of Simi's fans started addressing the couple's child as 'Duduke'.

‎Speaking during a recent conversation with media personality VJ Adams, Simi stressed that she is not comfortable with people who call her daughter 'Duduke'.

‎She explained that Duduke has no meaning, stating that it was just a beat to her, hence people should desist from calling her daughter by that name.

‎Simi said:

‎“People call my daughter Duduke, which I don’t like. That’s not her name. It doesn’t even mean anything. Had it meant something good, I would have allowed it. But it’s just a beat, duduke, duduke. That was what I meant. My heart beats like a drum.

‎“Stop calling my child Duduke [laughs]. But you know what? I get it, it’s coming from a good place, so I try not to react.”
