Frank Edwards Defends Gaise Baba’s ‘No Turning Back’ Amid Backlash, Slams Critics
Popular gospel singer Frank Edwards has criticized those attacking his colleague Gaise Baba over the hit remix song ‘No Turning Back II’ featuring Lawrence Oyor.
Gaise Baba has faced significant backlash from some Christians and pastors following the release of the song.
Reacting via his Instagram page, Edwards expressed disbelief at the criticism, stating that such attitudes could hinder evangelism in today’s generation.
Edwards, who comes from a Scripture Union background, acknowledged his understanding of the old time ways, but emphasized that excessive criticism would not win souls for Christ. He urged people to be more lenient toward gospel artists and their content.
He wrote:
"HOW CAN SOMEONE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS SONG ??? HOW???? I understand old time ways coming from a scripture union background - but if we continue that way we will not win any soul in this generation!!!
Y'all take it easy on us
I DONT RESPOND TO THINGS LIKE THIS BUT ITS GETTING OUT OF HAND.
But how ever this is my only response forever. I'll be busy working."
