Davido Hails Self, Says No One Can Sing Afrobeats Like Him
Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has boasted that his talent has put him at the forefront of the Afrobeats genre.
The DMW boss stressed that one of the things American artistes enjoy about collaborating with him is his ability to blend with their style, or they switch to Afrobeats.
He, however, explained that he cannot sing trap genre better than American rappers Gunna and Young Thug, but nobody comes close to him in Afrobeats.
Speaking in a recent interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, Davido said:
"One of the good things that American artists like about collaborating with me is that, it’s either we meet in the middle or you just do it my way [Afrobeats]. That’s how it is. Like I said, I can’t sing trap better than Gunna or Young Thug, or sing R&B better than Chris Brown, but nobody can sing Afrobeats like me.”
