Eniola Badmus Faces Backlash After Reaffirming Support For President Tinubu
Eniola Badmus, actress and Special Assistant for Social Events and Public Hearings to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, Tajudeen Abbas, has faced backlash from Nigerians, following her reaffirmation of her support for President Tinubu's government despite the economic hardship.
The actress turned politician took to her Instagram page to state that her confidence is fully in President Tinubu and his mandate. Eniola Badmus wrote,
"STILL STANDING ON DADDY SEVI'S MANDATE."
Eniola Badmus' post did not sit down well with many, as they took to her comment section to express their frustration. Some of the comments reads below:
One kokopee670 wrote, "Nothing lastNothing last forever, after 8 years another person go come.... Enjoy."
One olori_nini wrote, "This is really not the right time to post this. It sounds very insensitive. People are struggling-hungry and frustrated because the economy is tough. If people react negatively, it's understandable, and honestly, you would have brought it upon yourself. No one is saying you shouldn't support your candidate, but this post feels like a mockery of Nigerians. Maybe you're not affected by the current economic hardship, but many people are, you can be loyal to your candidate without posting it here."
One dabs_hair wrote, "Daddy Sheyi? Asin making jokes of Nigerians abi Alert don enter??? ....egbo
e no go better for anyone supporting this government I am saying that out of anger because I knew what I faced few days ago in the market buying products for my store."
