Popular Nigerian chess player, and Guiness World record holder, Tunde Onakoya, has revealed that he recently turned down a life-changing money.

According to him, he turned down the money not because it was exactly wrong, but it did not align with his values on the vision of who he is becoming.

He admitted that it was not easy to turn down the offer, as he had to wrestle with himself, and tried to justify saying yes. He however, noted that he feels liberated by his decision to turn down the offer.

Tunde Onakoya wrote on X:
"I recently turned down life changing money. Not because it was exactly wrong, but it did not align with my values or the vision of who I’m becoming.

”It was not an easy decision. I wrestled, and tried to justify saying yes, but in the end, integrity is the real wealth. I feel liberated by my decision. I can do anything now.
