Nedu Wazobia Files N500m Defamation Lawsuit Against VeryDarkMan
Popular controversial on-air personality and former host of The Honest Bunch podcast, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu Wazobia, has filed a N500 million lawsuit against self-acclaimed activist VeryDarkMan over alleged defamation.
The lawsuit was made public by VeryDarkMan in a video on his Instagram page. The legal action, served by Nedu's lawyers, stems from a 12-minute video shared by VeryDarkMan on his YouTube and Instagram pages on Wednesday, 19 February 2025. According to the lawsuit, the video contained “a host of defamatory, false, and disparaging attacks and rhetoric” against their client.
Nedu's legal team refuted VeryDarkMan's allegations, particularly the claim that Nedu diverted NGO scholarships meant for Nigerians, labeling them as untrue.
Additionally, they clarified that their client has no ownership rights to Tokindrumz but is instead a talent under the brand. They demanded that VeryDarkMan “retract every video involving Nedu on all of his platforms within 24 hours of receiving the notice, issue a public apology, and pay the sum of N500 million for the damage caused to Nedu’s reputation.”
In a video message on his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan responded to the lawsuit, urging his followers to prepare for a court battle.
He said:
“Nedu’s lawyers have served me o, so make una get ready for court case.”
