Portable Granted N2m Bail by Abeokuta Magistrate Court Over Assault Allegations
Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has finally been granted bail by a Magistrate Court in Isabo, Abeokuta.
The Nigerian Voice reported that Portable was declared wanted on Monday night by the Ogun State Police Command over allegations of leading a violent attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
The singer willingly surrendered himself at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba, from where he was transported to the Ogun State Police Headquarters.
However, after being arraigned in court today, where he pleaded guilty to the charges against him, Magistrate O.L Oke of an Ogun State Magistrate Court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta, granted the singer bail in the sum of N2 million and a surety in like sum.
