Popular veteran American singer and actress, Diana Ross, has arrived in Nigeria ahead of the Thisday Awards, scheduled to take place on Monday.

The famed "Queen of Motown Records" was captured at the VIP lounge of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, where she was warmly received by her entourage and fans eager to welcome her to the country.

The Thisday Awards is aimed at celebrating resilience and excellence, honouring individuals and institutions dedicated to rebuilding Nigeria and strengthening its democracy.

Distinguished personalities in line to be honoured at the event are: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has been named ‘Man of the Year', and Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who has been named the 'woman of the year.'
