Bovi Condemns Act Of Flogging Children For Correction
Popular Nigerian stand-up comedian, Bovi Ugboma, has condemned the act of correcting children through flogging.
According to him, he does not consider flogging a child as a method of correction for wrongdoing, but a way of passing frustration.
Bovi made this known during a recent episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast. He said:
"I don’t advocate for beating children. You should let children be. When you hit a kid, are you really trying to correct them or are you frustrated?”
Furthermore, Bovi also berated the act of senior in secondary schools punishing their junior colleague. He stressed that no child should be empowered with the authority over another child.
Bovi said:
“No child should be given authority over another child in the name of ‘senior student’. It really has to stop."
