Popular Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade, has revealed how an award meant for him was withdrawn, following his refusal to pay for the plaque.

Yemi Solade shared screenshots of his conversation with the organizers of the awards via his Instagram page, and according to the conversation; the organizers wanted him to pay for the award plaque, but he refused, which led them to withdraw the award from him.

The actor noted that he was not among actors who would pay to receive an award, while describing the act as extortion.

He captioned the screenshot with:
"I refused to pay for the AWARD PLAQUE. This is the outcome.”
