Alleged Song Theft: Rudeboy Calls Out Brother, Mr P
The ruckus between the P-Square brothers, Paul Okoye, best known as Rudeboy, and his brother, Peter Okoye, best known as Mr P, has further been ignited with an allegation of song theft emanating from Rudeboy.
Taking to his Instagram page, Rudeboy alleged that his brother, Mr P, and a certain producer stole his song. He claimed that the song Mr P recently released 'Winning,' was written by him, and recorded with a producer who went ahead to give it to Mr P.
Rudeboy wrote on Instagram:
“Song title: Winning
Written and sang by Rudeboy
Produced by same producer.
“Now how come? Now am I supposed to release another version? Mr Producer, your case is for another day.
“Just a simple thing: Bring 6 songs, let me bring 6 songs. I Submitted 6 songs to the so-called management. Why re-singing my own song? word for word. Song that was supposed to be in my album next year, June.”
Expressing his displeasure in another post on his Instagram page, Rudeboy stressed that he was not going to have any of such manipulations from his brother again, and he would go ahead to sing the original version of any of his songs that is being sung by his brother.
"The days of manipulation are over!!
And to the management, make I hear any song wey na only me sing, I go release the original version.
Oloriburuku!
Music is not that hard!"
