Wizkid Didn't Help Me, Skales Declares
Nigerian rapper, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has stated that Afrobeats singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has never helped him.
Recall that Skales and Wizkid were former members of Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment, EME, in the 2010s, before they exited the record label after making a name for themselves.
Skales emphasized that contrary to public perception, he has never been helped by Wizkid in his career, and if there's anyone who should be praised for helping him, it should be Banky W.
Furthermore, he stated that he was also helped by his colleagues, Olamide and Timaya, while advising netizens to put some respect on his name. He claimed that his wish is to make music and avoid toxicity, while advising everyone to desist from tagging him to bullshit stories.
Skales made this known via his X handle.
"Put some respect on my name… I don tell una the only person sef wey help me na olamide and Timaya and Banky W… much respect to Burna … you guys always love to see artiste go against each other but ama set the record straight … I’m a don with this music and all I wanna do is make Music and stay away from all that negative toxic bullshit … so love your fav and stop cooking up bullshit stories…”
