Speed Darlington Set To Retract Apology To Burna Boy, Says It Was Not His Idea
Controversial singer, Darlington Okoye, best known as Speed Darlington or Akpi, has made a declaration about the apology made by his legal team.
Recall that the singer's legal team published an apology to Afrobeats giant, Burna Boy, over the online ruckus that ensued after their client insinuated that Burna Boy was romantically involved with embattled American rapper, Diddy.
The statement stated that the singer never had any bad intent with the video, and was unaware that it would go viral. They also clarified that the singer never had anything towards Burna Boy's mother, and revealed that their client has gone on to settle things in private with Burna Boy.
However, Speed Darlington, in a live video on Instagram, stated that he was never in full support of the statement that his legal team published to clarify the air on his ruckus with Burna Boy.
He revealed that his legal team had control of his phone, but luckily, he still has access to social media, and as such, he is able to address things online.
He argued that he unwillingly agreed with the apology statement, as he was constantly begged by his lawyer.
Surprisingly, he noted that he would soon delete the apology, because it was not his idea.
