Social media has been agog over the news of Afrobeats star, Davido and Chioma's wedding, today.

In light of this, popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, best known as Basketmouth, has hit back at Afrobeats star, Wizkid over his comment ahead of Davido's wedding.

Recall that Wizkid tweeted; “saying a prayer for every understanding woman out there, I love you all."

Wizkid's comment caused huge controversy on social media, as many took it upon themselves to admonish the singer for making such comments despite undergoing the same thing with Davido.

In retaliation to wizkid's comment, Basketmouth took it upon himself to hit back at wizkid for subtly shading Davido ahead of his wedding.

He stated that Wizkid's tweet was irrelevant at the time, as everyone were keen on Davido and Chioma's wedding.

He wrote;
“Davido’s wedding has taken over the social media space. Except you want us to start using Chivido2024 to promote the show.

“Which I don’t think will work. Because, even Wizkid wey throw shade. Nobody send am”.
