Social media has been thrown into a frenzy after a revelation made by Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede. The actress stated that her ex-husband was older than her and took offense at every of her jokes at him, which she was not comfortable with stating that he was not like that before they got married.

Shockingly, the actress further stated that the main reason why she left her ex-husband was due to making more money than him and catering for the need of her son, she finally stated that her regret is choosing love instead of money.

She said
“He [my ex-husband] is eight years older than me. But the moment we got married, if I tell am say, ‘You dey crease, ‘ he would say I’m disrespecting him. I would if it was the same person I got married to.

“But that wasn’t the main reason I left the marriage. Let me just say the fact, I was bringing more of the money. I’m taking care of my son like nobody exist around me. It’s not easy. I would have gone for money instead of love.”

Following Yvonne Jegede’s revelation about her ex-husband, a popular influencer on X, with the handle, @jon-d-doe, has berated the actress's comment and has given his take on the issue. He simply tweeted that a woman goes to another man once she believes she is earning more than her husband or more popular.

He tweeted;
“Always stay 5 steps ahead of your wife.
When a woman feels she's bigger than her husband, she'll look up to a man that is bigger than her.
