Actor, Chinwetalu Agu Lashes Out At Government For Changing National Anthem
Popular veteran Nollywood actor, Chinwetalu Agu, has berated the decision of the government to revert to the old national anthem.
Recall that the president passed the bill of reverting to the old national anthem into law last month and since then different reactions have followed.
The veteran actor, who was far from pleased with the decision to change the national anthem labelled it as “Misplaced priorities," citing the current economic situation of Nigeria.
In a now trending video, the actor could be heard reciting both the old and new national anthem, after which he said;
“This is what its called misplacement of priorities. Change of national anthem, what has it got to do with increase in price of rice, a litre of fuel, a bag of garri, a tuber of yam?”
“National anthem is now a palliative, Nigeria na better cruise.
“The small national anthem we dey manage, e reach your turn, you change am, why?”
Are we going to eat the national anthem?”
