Charly Boy Says Nigerians Should Ignore Wole Soyinka’s Words
Nigerian veteran singer, Charly Boy has advised Nigerians to ignore the words and actions of Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka.
Charly Boy believes that Whole Soyinka's age is affecting him mentally and concludes that, that is the reason for some of his recent statements and actions.
Charly Boy also stated that it is obvious that Whole Soyinka's age is affecting him, so Nigerians should not be too surprised, but instead worry about how the professor's family are coping with government antics using their father as reference to some situations.
He wrote;
“Prof. Wole Soyinka is aged over 80yrs, even tending towards 90yrs. For his age, some level of brain deterioration is not unexpected. His rhetorics and actions in recent times is suggestive of deteriorating brain desease, and as such he shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
“What we shld be worried about as well-meaning Nigerians, is how his family and close friends can’t ward off agents of desperate politicians who are bent on exploiting his medical situation to their advantage, no matter how low it sinks the once respected Nobel laureate.”
