The memorable party with PocoLee at the Lagos State University was considered a grandeur event with a chaotic ending. The purpose of the event which was to provide a top-notch entertainment right within the university premises was almost destroyed after the unprecedented phenomenon ensued.

The event held on the 13th of July 2023 was hosted by the Nigerian talented dancer and it was aimed to captivate Lagos State University and its surrounding community by creating a vibrant social experience.

At Lasu, Ojo, the event featured versatile international artistes like Pocolee, the host who is also an alumni, alongside a lineup of A-list celebrities. Seyi Vibez, Bella Shmurda, Odumodu, T dollar, Mohbad, Hotkid, Young John, Ola Of Lagos and a couple of other talented Nigerian singers performed at the show.

The event was graced not only by students of the institutions but also people across the country. The event was colourful but ended bitterly.

one major factor leading to the chaotic ending of the programme is the lack of resources to take care of the surging audience that attended the event. Put differently, limited space was an underlying factor for the disruption of the jolly moment.

It was observered that the Bubar Marwa hall where the event took place admitted double of its capacity. The hall which is the largest event hall at Lagos State University has 2,500 seating capacity. A rough estimation however revealed that over 10,000 ticket were sold out.

Significantly, after the event hall was choked-up, several other people who have procured the ticket for both the VIP and regular to see the celebrities were denied entry. The hall was completely filled that entry and exit required engaging in a serious fight.

While the show proceeded in the event hall, audience who has been denied entry became furious and eventually took the case upon themselves. Soon afterwards, the atmosphere changed and people started a small protest which ended up in the destruction of the school property.

Bella Shmurda, Odumodu had a terrible experience. Odumodu was giving a serious chase not from the students of the school but from outsiders who stood their ground to be refunded by the artiste. Through the window of his car, the celebrity sprayed out money, yet, he was still given a chase.
