AMVCA: Netizens Wonder How Funke Akindele's ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ Did Not Win Any Award

The ecstasy of many fans and netizens over the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), which eventually took place yesterday, May 11, 2024 at the Eko Hotel, Lagos.

Recall that the organisers of the award releaasd a long list of nominations which included; Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Actress Best Movie and many more.

Much to the delight of the fans of popular Nigerian Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele's movie ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ bagged five nominations alongside top movie ‘Breath of Life’ which also bagged five nominations in different categories.

Surprisingly, at the award ceremony yesterday, Funke Akindele's 'A Tribe Called Judah' did not win any awards and category it was nominated under, which means that the actress did not win any awards. However, Breath of Life bagged all awards for the categories it was nominated in, which includes;

Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Lead Actor, Best Director and Best Movie.

Many fans of Funke Akindele have began to wonder as to why the actress did not win any awards, despite her movie being the highest grossing movie in Africa.
