Popular Nigerian Nollywood actress and media personality, Toke Makinwa has begun lamenting about the economic hardship that has embattled Nigeria.

The actress took to her Instagram page to bemoan and stated that being an independent woman is not easy, and she is tired of it. She lamented how she just returned from a trip outside the country, only to come back to this economic hardship; citing the fuel scarcity and increase in electricity tariff.

She wrote on her Instagram handle;
“Yoooo, landed in Lagos to all this madness, petrol scarcity, electricity tariff hike, diesel prices not smiling. What is all these? Independent woman don taya [tire] o.”
