Nigerian singer, Similola Ogunleye popularly known as Simi has revealed that she never wanted to get married to an artiste.

Simi, who was invited to ' Tea With Tay' podcast, shed more light on how she met her husband, Adekunle Gold.

In her words, she said: "When I first met my husband, I did not know he was singing. Because I already said I cannot marry a singer. He used to do this King of Photoshop. I have never heard him sing up till that time. I think he was even a fan,” she said.

“He had sent me a message on Facebook. I never saw it. I still have not replied. I sensed that it was him that would be good for me.”

Simi, who got married to Adekunle Gold in 2019, made the internet buzz over their marriage as many fans were shocked of how their relationship was quite hidden until they got married.
