Davido, one of the most talented Nigerian singers today has come out again to tag the Nigerian Grammy Award winner Wizkid.

Davido in a recent interview shocked many music lovers when he finally revealed the source of his inspiration. It is indeed a surprise to many fans when singer Davido revealed that his colleague is instrumental to his inspiration for music.

This is nonetheless coming after Davido raised a controversial statement in an interview with Echo Room.

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported Davido's statement that asserted that only Wizkid and he are the pioneers of Nigerian Afrobeat music. The most controversial statement he made was his labeling Burnaboy as a new cat.

Furthermore, it is surprising to see Davido and Wizkid who were once rivalry to be good friends now. This day they appear to be on good terms. This can also be perceived when Wizkid revealed two months back that he would be going on a tour with Davido.

In the interview, Davido's statement read partly:

“I remember being in the club then like the biggest artistes were like Psquare, D’banj, even then Wizkid was like young, really young because I remember like he was just coming up in the game, so the game was coming up.

And I remember that moment I was like I want to do Nigerian music I want to get on this early, like I can really tell like is going to be big.”
