By Agboola Ibrahim

A young lady has bombarded her social media page with a lengthy post of how she apprehended a pick-pocketing thief through its body odor.

The lady with the Twitter name @OsamudiamenOO recounted the distress she underwent before she tamed a thief.

According to her, a terrible event occurred in Ibadan when she went to a wedding. She was on the road with her "colleague" when an oozing thief walk past and smartly carted away her phone.

The lady disclosed that the young thief's odor raised her suspicion. Although the thief had walked a few miles away when she realized that her phone was stolen.

Her post read:
“Tell me why I went for a wedding in Ibadan today and ended up doing 100m sprint on Iwo road because this guy pickpocketed my phone and tried to run away in a cab.

We were all walking from the church to the reception venue on a narrow road when I perceived terrible body odor.

I smelt him before I saw him, I had to look back to see who the smelly person was. Then I made way for him to move forward, but he motioned to me to walk ahead, acting all gentlemanly.

When we got to the main road, I noticed that my phone was no longer in my bag. I instantly knew it was him, I looked around and I saw him already walking far ahead in the opposite direction of the venue.

I told my colleagues that my phone was gone and I started to jog towards him, I didn’t call out to him cos I didn’t want him to notice me and start to run.

Next thing I saw him enter a cab and the cab started moving. That was when I started running and shouting “stop the cab! Ole ole!”

People didn’t hear me at first, Then someone saw me running and shouting and quickly stopped the cab. I got to the cab and asked him for my phone, the idiot said “it fell on the floor and he picked it” he even had the audacity to ask if it was my phone.

The people around dragged him from the cab and started slapping him. I shouted at him and cursed him but I didn’t want anyone to beat. I left him shortly after and walked back to where my colleagues were, it was while I was walking back that I realized that one of my colleagues had followed me while I was running towards the thief.

I must have been a sight to behold: Me running in a black jumpsuit, face full of makeup, looking all fine and running like a mad women screaming “stop the cab! Ole ole!”

I think the bravery came from thought of all my bank info on the phone.

I ran for all my previous phones that had been pickpocketed, it was a vengeance-fueled race. 😭”
