Bovi, a popular Nigerian comedian, has confirmed the authenticity of an old photo that surfaced on social media featuring his colleagues, Basketmouth and AY.

The photo, which was shared in response to claims by Basketmouth that he and AY were never friends, caused a stir on social media. In an interview with Nedu Wazobia, Basketmouth had stated that he and AY had never taken photos together, due to a longstanding feud that began over a sum of N30,000 that AY claimed Basketmouth owed him.

However, the old photo proved Basketmouth's claims to be untrue. Bovi took to Instagram to share the photo and confirm that it was taken in 2004, adding a playful comment to lighten the mood.

He wrote, “This is Basketmouth and a fan! 😎 2004! 😃😃😃! Ay no vex o! Before you go call Chude for me!”
