Jane Chukwu, a relationship expert took to her official Facebook account to enlighten people, particularly women about the subtle condition or restraint attached to bride price.

Significantly, bride price is primarily an African culture. It is the money the groom pays on the head of the woman before he is allowed to officially be the husband of that woman.

In a recent update, relationship expert, Jane Chukwu, advised women that bride price is an indirect means of legally buying off a partner.

She claimed that a man legally owns a woman's life the moment he pays his pride price. To her, a woman cannot claim her life anymore.

Her words read:
“Forget civilization and feminist brouhaha, when a man pays your bride price, he has automatically paid for your life and the life you live isn’t yours anymore, the life you now have is to please him and make him happy all the days of his life,” she wrote.
