While acknowledging Davido's immeasurable impact, popular Nigerian singer-songwriter, Chukwuka Ekweani, professionally known as Ckay, has linked his success and achievement partly to Davido's role.

The music singer made the remark during an interview in India, where he recently performed one of his hit songs, ‘Love Nwantiti’ and ‘Emiliana’ to thousands of his Indian fans.

When the interviewer asked the singer what was collaboration like with Davido, CKay admitted that the collaboration and the co-sign he received from Davido helped a lot.

The singer said Davido was more than happy to offer a helping hand, and their relationship blossomed into a friendship after the project.

"The collaboration with Davido was extremely important because at that time I need a co-sign. Like someone who is established and Davido was more than happy to do that. We literally new from that song and build a friendship and that actually played a huge role in my success."
