Today marks the first day of a new month and the 64th celebration of Nigeria's independence across the country.

In the wake of the independence day celebration, Nollywood actor in the Yoruba movie industry, Adeniyi Johnson has indicated his interest in becoming the next president of Nigeria.

The actor indicated his interest on his Instagram page, sharing photos of himself donning a white outfit while appealing to God to make his dream of becoming the next president of Nigeria come to fruition.

He further promised to do well if God grants him the opportunity to become the number one citizen in the country.

He wrote:
“God, I’m not asking for too much, just the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I promise I’ll do well."
