Popular Nollywood actor and Lawyer, Kanayo O. Kanayo in a post on social media joined a handful of Nigerians who are outrightly resentful about the just concluded general election In Nigeria. However, on account of this, the actor refused to mark his birthday today, March 1, 2023.

Recall that the Nigeria general election has just been rounded off and the winner has been announced by the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu. Although the the electoral process has been alleged on different quarters as being characterized by discrepancy.

The veteran actor like several other youths out there are Ardent supporter of the Labour party candidate, Peter Obi. Unfortunately, the election was not in his favour; he lost to Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

On this note, the actor stated that he will not celebrate his birthday because of the outcome of the presidential election.

According to him, he is not happy, and the Independent and National Electoral Commission, INEC needs to answer to Nigerians, as they owe us some explanations.
