Like Father Like Son! Read How Son Was "Anointed" With The Spirit Of Comedy By Father
A popular comedian, content creator and singer, Wemimo Iyiola Samson professionally known as Lino has revealed how his father like several other factors influenced him to be a comedian.
Lino is a graduate of Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (Mapoly). He however left his area of study for entertainment (comedy) by virtue of potential influence.
The Turkey-based comic star narrated how his late father who was nicknamed "Baba Alawada" which literarily translates "a jovial man" largely influenced him to choose comedy as his line of profession..
Speaking in an interview, the father of two said: “Right from my younger age, I love comedy. May be because my dad of blessed memory was well known for that. They called him Baba Alawada in his days.”
Touching on the power of comedy as it affects human lives, Lino added: “Being in Turkey is an eye-opener for me and seeing the good efforts put in by comedians to drag people out of depression was my main motivation to delve into comedy. I started putting my comedy ideas into recording.”
