Chinko Ekun Narrates How Depression Compelled Him To Take His Own Life By Drowning
Former YBNL singer and rapper, Chinko Ekun has narrated how depression almost forced him to take his own life by drowning.
Chinko Ekun narrated how he walked down to the beach with the intention of drowning himself but at that point he had a conversation with God where he challenged him that it would be God's fault if any plight befell him because he never worshiped anything else except him.
He revealead that after three months of that encounter he had breakthrough.
In his words: “One day I woke up around 6 am and went to the beach and thought about jumping into it because I’m not the type to ask around for help because I always try to be contented.
I challenged God and told him I have never worshipped anything else; if I did now, it would be his fault. Three months after that encounter, my life changed. I was able to record some songs, collect my royalties, got back on my feet and got my own place and even buy myself the exact car I lost.”
