Canadian Based Nigerian alternative singer and producer Chyme has released an EP titled Acknowledgments
One of the forefront of the new wave of young artists in the Alté (alternative) scene, Canadian based Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer, chyme has just dropped his new EP titled Acknowlegements that you’ll surely have on repeat!
The 8-track offering features tracks such as ‘like dat ‘Extra’ outta line and slide. "I just want to reach people who probably have new energy right now, or people who just want to express themselves and are looking for energy,” chyme said. “I feel like that's what the EP is to me, it's like an expose."
Chyme team wrote “Chyme has amassed a cult-like following from all corners of the world who have gravitated to his genre-bending musical approach, and in true Chyme fashion, his 8 track, high-energy recording is a melting pot of mixed genres infused with various cultures which he categorises as an Afro-fusion sound.”
Chyme has amassed a cult-like following from all corners of the world who have gravitated to his genre-bending musical approach, and in true Chyme fashion, his 8-track, high-energy Acknowlegements recording is a melting pot of mixed genres infused with various cultures which he categorizes as an Afro-Fusion sound.
Chyme said that the project’s title is an acceptance of the chatter that constantly surrounds his career, fashion choices, and ways of expressing himself. And that freedom of thought makes for an extremely enjoyable listen. Throughout the short project, Chyme builds onto his catalog of dreamy production and harmonies — the type of music that perfectly accompanies a relaxed night under mood lighting, or a peaceful drive that doesn’t have a specific destination.
I just want to reach people who probably have new energy right now or people who just want to express themselves and are looking for energy. I feel like that’s what the EP is to me, it’s like an expose,” shares Chyme
