TD’s Foundation Rescues People Through Medical Outreach

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh is doing a great job in her foundation through series of outreach.

The recent medical outreach in Abuja, which took place at Kubwa primary school on the 14th of April, brought together village kings, chief cabinets and indigenes from far and near villages to participate in the Foundations free medical checkup.

A variety of activities took place on that day and one of those activities was Tonto rescuing a nursing mother’s child and even going further to gift the family.

Experienced medical practitioners were present at the outreach, where they took time to carry out proper checkup on the participants who were later given drugs to enable them heal faster, after which a lecture was delivered on proper hygiene.

Part of the events that took place on that day was that of a pregnant woman who was rushed by the foundations officials to a nearby hospital and bills paid for by them. Also, a little girl with a hole in the heart was spotted and given keen medical attention. Her case is now being looked into by TD foundation.

The medical outreach which was in partnership with AIT and miss health beauty Pageant, had also the case of 24 year old Hadiza Ayuba, who got pregnant for the first time and due to stress and struggle for survival after her husband abandoned her, had the baby die in her womb after three months.

Upon reaching the hospital, the doctor gave her a full scan which showed that she was eight months gone and her baby was still alive. The doctor discovered that she was suffering from malnutrition and peptic ulcer.

The foundation covered her drugs and hospital bills up until she gave birth and also gave her some money for her upkeep.
