I’ll conquer Hollywood at 35

From a humble beginning Charles Okocha, popularly called Jiggaman by his colleagues, has been able to carve a niche for himself in Nollywood.

For instance, his appearance in Teco Benson’s movie titled Wasted Years five years ago brought him into limelight. Ever since, the actor who hails from Okpanam, Delta State, recalled that he has been moving from one set to the other.

Speaking further, the ever-bubbling artiste said he is also a professional rapper waiting to unleash his debut effort any moment from now. "Yeah! Aside acting I am also a singer cum rapper. I’m already working on my debut album." Asked about how he came by the name Jiggaman, young actor disclosed: "It is because of my free flowing manner of rapping. I’m combining acting with singing because I know I have the talent. Though, it’s not been easy chasing and combining music and acting," Charles, the first child in a family of five .

Charles, who resembles star actor Ramsey Noah, said that he wants be the best actor in Nollywood. "My dream is to conquer Nollywood and I’m already working towards that. I’m just 25, I want to rule Nollywood by the time I’m 30 years. And by the time I am 35, I would have conquered Hollywood.”

On his resemblance of Ramsey Noah, Charles confirmed that a lot of people do tell him that. "Incidentally, Ramsey is one of my role models. Others are: Demi Moore and John Travolta. Even Ramsey knows he has a look alike in Nollywood," the musician maintained.

The fledgling actor sees his role in the film Bumper to Bumper as his most challenging work. Hear him: "The movie brought out the best in me in terms of role interpretations. A few others like Passion of Life, Delay is Dangerous, Jealous Lover, My Conscience and Stolen were equally demanding. Since I joined Nollywood, I’ve featured in over twenty movies, special thanks to top director, Teco Benson.
When prodded to comment on his relationship with girls, the actor declared, "I have a lot female fans and admirers. They are my fans because they love what I’m doing." I want to make a bold statement with my movie and musical careers; already, three of my demo tapes are ready and I’ll soon hit the airwaves with a bang.
