I’m Ashamed of Being a Nigerian…Actor, Yomi Fabiyi Cries out

Sometimes, most people that regret their citizenship is not because they don’t love their country, but because of the high rate of negativity going on in the country and things looks lawless.

Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, will gladly stay and enjoy is country Nigeria only if the government can stand up to their duties as things have really gone bad without anybody talking.

While some see the Nigerian uniform men as responsible arm of government, someone like Yomi feels these uniform men treat citizens like animal after he watched a video of some of these men beating a citizen to near death.

In his words, “There are some behaviours NIGERIANS should find distasteful on the spot, but we lack courage and understanding of our citizenship. We fear BS. This is a NO NO for me, you cannot wear that uniform and treat your fellow citizen like an animal in private like this let alone public and expect commendation. How will Nigerians react if the Police Officers are white guys doing this to a Nigerian in a foreign country. No excuse for treating a human being with so much disrespect, disdain, scorn and less dignity. I AM ASHAMED OF MY CITIZENSHIP.”
