Ailing Nigerian Artists to Be Flown Abroad within 12hrs…PMAN President Reveals

President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Pretty Okafor, and his team have been working effortlessly towards ensuring a better industry for the Nigerian musicians.

Pretty and his team have been on a journey of various consultations with the private sector towards ensuring that there is a structure put in place to help musicians in the country.

The PMAN head in an interview disclosed that the body is through its partnership deals with some private organizations and the Central Bank of Nigeria, they will be able to reach an agreement whereby by any sick musician who is a registered member will be able to fly out of the country within 12 hours.

He added that aside the musician enjoying such benefit of good medical treatment abroad, his family will also get the sum of N5 million for upkeep.

According to him, “We are working with the central bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Interbank Settlement System, Heritage Bank, Airtel and Hogg Robinson. If any artiste is critically ill, he can be airborne within 12 hours to any part of the world. The family of the ailing artist also gets N5 million from Hogg Robinson.”
