It is not easy coming out to tell the world the kind of life one has found his or herself before because of the stigma that could be attached to it but for singer, Waje, she does not care what the world has to say.

The singer has grown from nothing to become of the many celebrated entertainers in Nigeria and not just that, her works have not gone unnoticed as she has also won some awards to her credit.

Waje recently sharing part of her life story disclosed that she once contracted sexually transmitted disease due to the slum where she had lived but for the grace of God.

She added that she could have ended up being that commercial s3x worker that many would have known today as she was also living in fear but for the opportunity she had to revisit her life.

“I could have been that commercial sex worker with no hope for the future, living in the slum and wondering if the next STD I contract would end my life. But because of the opportunity given to me, I have become an award winning vocalist and songwriter and a voice for generations, leaving an indelible mark in the music industry and my country.
