NIJ Hold 14th Matriculation Ceremony, Announces Plans to Float Radio Station Soon
The Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), has held its 14th, matriculation ceremony which was held in the school auditorium, in Ogba, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, the Provost of the Institution, Gbemiga Ogunleye, speaking on the need of Matriculation, noted that it is very mandatory as it shows that the student are fully accepted into the school.
Advising the student, the Provost stated that the school is set out to build good characters among the students as they want to ensure that the school train great journalists who will in turn help change the face of the industry and compete effectively in the society.
He further warned that student should ensure that they take their academics very seriously rather than seat back with the hope of cutting corners to pass which is not possible and will never be.
He gave a hint that the institution will soon go live as they have been issued a license to run a radio station which is already in its final stage.
The school matriculated about 304 students into the classes of both full time and part time studies of the institution.
